About Us
Welcome to Compassionate Care Network Australia
At Compassionate Care Network Australia, we hold over 20 years professional experience within the Disability Care and Aged Care sector. Our founders also have over an abundance of personal experience. This experience is both as Support Workers for the Disability Care and Aged Care sector or as family to those who need care and support in their day to day lives. We are continually shaping and growing Compassionate Care Network Australia to reflect the passion we have for caring for the vulnerable and those in need. We ensure all our Support Workers and staff also share our belief in this cause and reflect Compassionate Care Network Australia’s passion for excellence. We will always ensure your loved ones are treated with respect, compassion, empathy and understanding when working with us.
Our Values
Compassionate Care Network Australia takes a holistic approach when working with our participants. This means that our team devises support plans that identify and sensitively respond to the participant’s culture, diversity, values, and beliefs.
Participants are supported regardless of sex, race, marital status, sexuality, background, or cultural beliefs. Our assessment process identifies and incorporates the participant’s culture, diversity, values and beliefs within their support plan.
Consultation with participants allows the support plans to deliver appropriate services provided by the staff of choice, allowing for the inclusion of culture, beliefs and values when providing supports. The collaborative process ensures relevant services are offered. Referrals are made if necessary. Support plans detail how participants’ designated supports are practised and their culture maintained.
Compassionate Care Network Australia endorses a multi-cultural environment in our workplaces (including the home environment). After listening to participants, staff are matched to the participant, taking into consideration the participant’s requirements and shared (or similar) values and beliefs.
Staff training (orientation to performance training) includes the requirement of identifying and being sensitive to a participant’s needs. The Individual Values and Beliefs Policy and Procedure were developed to provide our staff with appropriate guidance. We determine relevant training through analysis of community requirements, knowledge and skills of the worker, and new research. Cultural competence and awareness are essential elements of all training, as we hire staff with various backgrounds to suit the community’s needs.
Our Vision
Compassionate Care Network Australia envisions a future where we work in tandem with participants and their families to successfully achieve their goals using a Person-Centred, holistic approach.
Our Mission
Is to empower individuals and their families with a person-centred approach so that they have clear and achievable pathways to their goals. We will be there with you on each step of this journey, providing exceptional care and support to you and your loved ones.

Compassionate Care Network Australia acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders people as the traditional custodians of the land and acknowledges and pays respect to their elders, past and present.
Lusia Morisio-Kami
Co-founder and Director of Compassionate Care Network Australia (CCNA).
Personal passions have always informed my career, helping me make a real difference for those in need and to advocate for the most vulnerable members of our society. This is the basis for the person-centred, holistic focus at the core of CCNA.
My own cultural background and deeply-held values have also played significant roles. Treating others with empathy and understanding is crucial to me, and the concepts of mutual respect and inclusion are very close to my heart. Working with different individuals — each with different religious beliefs, personal values, and world views — has shown me just how important diversity really is in this sector.
I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve accomplished with CCNA, empowering individuals to do more than simply get by — to reach their full potential and live their best lives. I am honoured to be able to support and walk alongside these individuals, empowering them with the courage and confidence they need to achieve their goals.
My Experience
I have been involved in the Aged Care and Disability sector on a professional and personal level for more than 20 years. Over this time, I have:
- Served as an AIN in nursing homes, dementia facilities, and respite centres.
- Worked as a team leader in group homes and in-home environments.
- Become a registered counsellor with the ACA (Australian Counselling Association).
- Achieved a Diploma and Advanced Diploma and completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Counselling.
- Trained Life, Psychosocial and Recovery Coaching.
- Completed intensive training in Support Coordination.
All of this experience has been invaluable in my development, helping me to gain a deeper understanding of what exceptional care really means. A kind and considerate approach to others has always been at the heart of my nature, and this has helped to drive my professional and academic experience.
By bringing together my personal traits and professional understanding, I have been able to advocate successfully for those I serve. Through my work, I can be the voice for those who may feel marginalised or vulnerable, and I can deliver hope and optimism wherever it is needed. A comprehensive, holistic approach is critical here — supporting the individuals I work with not just in a physical sense but in an emotional and social one, too.
